How To Use The Currency Converter:

The Currency Converter is only a calculator - it does not perform any exchange operations, nor does it commit you to spending anything but simply works out exchange values based on up-to-the minute money-market rates.  You can play with it for as long as you like.

A sample of the currency converter window is shown below.  To go to the actual converter you will need to click on the Perform Currency Conversion button  in the window.  When you do that you will be taken to the Currency Conversion site and be shown  a clean I Want To Convert window again.

1. Total your order using the prices shown on the website (which are always shown in GBP (British pounds)). Add them up just as you would if they were dollars but remember they are GBP.   Enter the total of your order  into the 'this amount' box
2. Use the down arrow or slider bar on the right hand side of the 'this type of currency' box  and click on GBP United Kingdom Pounds.  
3. Then do the same with  the 'into this type of currency' box but click on your own home country's currency. For example USD - United States Dollars
4. Then click on the Perform Currency Conversion button.  In a few seconds the currency converter will tell you what your order will cost in dollars. Remember paypal charges 2.5%  on currency conversions.
5. When you have noted  the cost in your home currency click on your 'back' button to return to the this website and continue surfing or place your order.

This currency converter is provided here so you can gauge the value of the goods you have chosen in your own currency. It gives a very accurate guide to the day's exchange rates and trends. Currency rates move second by second but those movements are in general very small (normally fractions of a percent).  The exact rate charged will therefore be the one prevailing at the moment the exchange takes place through your bank or credit card company and may be a notch up or down on the figure given.
